All documentation indicates the Big Pumpkin officially started in 1981, but the Gail Short Collection provided the first pic here (of Gail) with "1980 Pumpkin" written on the back.  The other five pics were on the same page of single sheet of a photo album.  Lots of questions, but I guess that's what you have to expect from a party with guns and nooses.
